Founder and instructor Dave EichhornDave Eichhorn is a multiple-award winning, 30-year veteran of post production with credits on hundreds of projects for companies like CBS, NBC, ABC/Disney, HBO, FX Network, Showtime, Universal, Paramount, Hallmark, NatGeo, Facebook, Ford Motor Company, USA Network, Lifetime and more. Dave's credits span almost every department of post-production: Film Editor, Assistant Editor, Supervising Sound Editor, Dialogue Editor, Sound Designer, ADR Supervisor, Re-recording Mixer and Music Supervisor.
His career has earned him 3 Primetime Emmys, 11 Emmy nominations, 5 MPSE Golden Reel Awards and 14 Golden Reel Nominations.
Because of this extensive industry experience, Dave has a keen awareness of the differences between the Hollywood studio workflow and the world of indies, where budgets usually require a single person to take a film from dailies to DCP.
"I'm a big fan of the spike in indie film production over the last decade, and I've come to realize that there is huge knowledge gap....particularly in the areas of post. It seems that the well-honed crafts that I spent my life learning and practicing are simply no longer being taught, or passed down, and even some of the new so-called film schools are, in large part, doing students a disservice by either not teaching it, or worse, spreading misinformation. The time has come for that to change".
